Susan Pattay completed a bachelors degree at James Madison University and a masters degree at LaSalle University. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist accredited with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, holding New Jersey licensure. She completed her clinical fellowship training in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, and additionally provided services in school-based and early-intervention settings before transitioning to Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. There, she enjoyed her experience as the Senior Speech-Language Pathologist for five years before joining Advanced ENT. Susan continues to work in the acute care setting in addition to treating outpatients in our offices.
Susan has special interests in swallowing and swallowing disorders. In 2018, she completed advanced specialization in this area of Speech-Language Pathology, and she is among the first providers in South Jersey to earn Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S). Susan is also a member of the Dysphagia Research Society and an affiliate of the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders- through which she sponsors a monthly support group. She has presented at the local, regional and national levels on dysphagia, and she is passionate about all aspects of assisting both adults and children with this disorder.
Susan evaluates and treats swallowing disorders and is able to perform video fluoroscopic swallow studies. She is currently completing training to provide fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing. Susan also evaluates and treats adult and pediatric voice disorders.
A native of South Jersey, Susan lives in Haddonfield with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading for her book club, sitting on the beach, and traveling to new places with her family.
